Cybercitals Result of Piano Lessons
What are Cybercitals?

Cybercitals are digital recordings students make during their piano lessons at Hillside Music.
As students learn new songs, they are provided with the opportunity to record the songs on our digital Yamaha
piano. We have computer software that enables us to record as the student plays. We then save the file as an MP3
file and upload it to our website. Anyone visiting our website can then listen to the student's "internet
recital".
By providing the cybercital service to our students, we make it possible for family or friends
living at a distance to enjoy and support the progress of students. While cybercitals are not required, it's an
excellent opportunity for students to showcase their work.
How Cybercitals Work
1) Students choose a nickname to use online. Nicknames are used to protect the privacy of
our students.
2) Students record their cybercital music at their piano lesson.
3) The song is uploaded to the website and identified by the student's nickname.
4) An announcement is made in the form of a Facebook update that a new cybercital song is
available for the student (by nickname only).
4) Students are responsible for notifying family and friends of their nickname and song
placement.
Select your student nickname from the menu on the left to view and
listen to the songs available.
